Slideshow Fun
After reading (and watching) some blog posts from Rachel Boyd, Paul Harrington and Allanah about Animoto I decided to create my own slideshow using this new ‘toy’. As all my pictures are on an external hard drive and not handy at present, I had to use the few photos that are on my laptop. Here is my creation using some photos I took of my Year 7s at their final Food lesson which was a cafe food tasting for their parents and other invited guests.
I can’t embed this at present soooo try this link.
Update – Animoto videos can now be embedded into Edublogs!

Nice, I had a go using photos of a recent sports trip. I like google reader as I use blogger for the kids blogs so it uses the same login etc. I found that I have an old bloglines account, maybe I should have a play with it? I have set up my kids with imbee accounts too- monitored social networking. http://www.imbee.com. The kids blogs are all be found in the links section on
http://roomonekidsstuff.blogspot.com/ where you can also see/hear the animoto movie!

I learned about your blog through the home page of Edublogs.
I,too, am impressed with Animoto, especially if they make the changes they’ve told me they are going to make in the next few weeks.
In the meantime, there’s another similar web application which, at this point, is even more student-friendly. It’s called Fliptrack:
