Are You Up To It?
After reading Hamish’s latest blog post I decided to challenge all of you. This is to see if you can prove Hamish wrong and also to give you an incentive to continue writing blog posts during the holidays.
The person who writes the most interesting (yes they must be interesting!) posts during these school holidays will receive a special prize. The prize is undecided at the moment but it will be something more than a canteen voucher!
Are you up to it? Can you prove Hamish wrong? I’ll be watching my bloglines account for all your posts.

Well in that post I was not actually asking people to prove me wrong. I was just saying that they wern’t getting motivated. I do not think that people should try to prove me wrong they should just be interested enough to put on posts themselves. Also I dont think you should have a prize, we are motivated learners and dont need treats for doing something good!

I totally agree with you but ….. anyway there may be no takers cos most of the class doesn’t visit the class blog or have it in their bloglines feeds. It will be interesting! In trying to prove you wrong I was trying to get them into a habit which is what they need, along with a mindset change.

who’s the judge? because I would like to piont out that what is ‘interesting’ can come with different meanings! The definitions can change depending on who is judging. Yes, Hamish we should have a prize. O and hamish i would like to point out that our class menbers must have very interesting lives, as they probably never have enough time to look at the blogs. Though that would be comparing them to me since I have nothing better to do than look at blogs and so on. Though I still dont know wether i’ll do this comp. as i will probably be in bed most of the holidays as i REFUSE

I have something to add to that. How many ‘Interesting’ blog posts can we enter? does it count any post? ( I’m having fun questioning?) Cant come up with any more, very sorry.

I dont think that you need a definition of ‘interesting’. You are intelligent enough to interpret it yourself! And please give a reason why you should have a prize as an insentive to post posts. I have a very interesting life to, might I add, and I still find time to get on the blogs (that is no excuse).

Well hamish,
I like prizes ‘cos prizes are cool and it gives a point to doing something and do our class might not see any point in doing it if there is no prize! As far as I am aware there is no prize at the momment and you have just been complaining that they are ‘uninterested’ so why would this any different to posting something at their own will? And yes I do need a diffenition of interesting as i am not “interested’ in netball unlike say christina someone but am intersted in hockey as you probably arent. I am ‘interested’ in reading while other people cant see the point.

Well there you go, you have just answered the question yourself. You have to write a post that interests you (and you have said you like reading so write a post about that or hockey etc.). And also not many people have written a post at will. Nearly all their posts have been done because they have had to do them (or stay in at lunchtime). Also I’m not sure if you know this yet but, I am exempt from the competition becuase I am a ‘motivated blog poster’ as Mrs C tells me. So, why dont I get a prize becuase I am always motivated?
Please, ponder and reply.
