Oh No. We Lost!
I have copied this from Holly’s post as it probably sums up everything! Please leave any comments you have about this on Holly’s blog.
Today we sadly played the last rugby game for us in this years 2007 rugby world cup. We won our pool and made it into the quarterfinals. This year our quarterfinal was up against France. Everyone knew it was going to be a tough game but we started off well ahead with us getting two penalty kicks and a converted try over before half time while only right on half time France got their first three points which made the half time score 13-3 to New Zealand. Almost straight after half time Luke McAlister got a yellow card which means he has to go off the field and let the All Blacks play with one less player for ten minutes. While Luke McAlister was off France got over another three points with a penalty kick and a converted try worth seven points to make the score an even 13 each. A little while later we got an unconverted try giving us an extra five points. France also got a try except they got their conversion over so now France were ahead by two . The All Blacks kept on trying and trying but sadly the score didn’t change and so France came out on top and at full time the score was still 20-18 to France. Hopefully with the Rugby World Cup being held in New Zealand next time the All Blacks will have many more supporters and with any luck do better next time.

What is the difference between a TeaBag and the All Blacks? A TeaBag stays in the sup longer!
That is all I have to say!

Haha very funny Hamish.. I’d like to see you play a game of rugby against France.
First of all, I’d like to say that the All Blacks played extremely well considering they weren’t wearing their usual jerseys. I think this played a big part in what happend because think about it, their called the All Blacks, not the All Silvers. I also think that we did really well against the awesome France defence. Unfortunately, at the end of this year some of our best players are leaving to persue other careers, this will be very sad but i’m sure their are heaps of other willing and able players that will gladly take their place. It is obvious that the whole New Zelands rugby community were and still are horrified by what happened this weekend but hopefully we can regain our status as the worlds best in 2011 when the world cup is held in New Zealand.:)

I disagree totaly with what you said Taleta. They played rubbish. They deserve to get knocked out. The best game was South Africa vs Figi. That is how a real rugby game is to be played. I hope South Africa win it. Just for it to come to the a Tri Nation team. It would be great if Argentina could win it for the first time. What a laugh that would be

Hi,
I am against what corey said. I think the ref cheated the all blacks. france got heaps of off-sides but the ref didnt bother to stop it. Also, the ref didnt give nz a penalty for france being off-side so we would of won the game.
Please respond to this comment coz i want to see everyones opinion about my comment.

Well that’s your opinion isn’t it Corey, but there was one thing I agreed with. I definitely think South Africa should win, they are a very good contender and they are the only remaining tri-nation team.
Shot Anaru. I totally agree, but I think the touch judge is partly to blame aswell. That ref must be blind or something, and to make matters worse.. It was a kiwi that appointed him as ref

Oooo, guess what I heard on the radio this morning. That the IRB people told the touch judges that they were not supposed to point out to the referee is they saw a forward passes and off-sides (there were some others but I cant remember).

I sort of agree with Taleta but I will say that when playing sports (like rugby) you have to play to the conditions and they should have been able to adapt to wearing a different coloured uniform. Also I think that shows like Close Up are trying to pin the loss on someone eg Graham Henry. When they should just leave it!

I also heard that England payed some amount of money to the ref so that england had easier competition. That was on the radio also. I also agree with Anaru:)

Hi

That was a very funny joke hamish! hahaha
I agree with you and Taleta!
But I’m kinda against what Corey said, because, the All Blacks gave it their best shot. It’s not like they lost on purpose. And why would they do that anyway? But there is always next time. Hopefully they’ll have a better chance of getting into the Semi Finals then. They might even win the game! That would be cool! Oh yeah and I think it was the referee’s fault. They even said it on the news.

Hi
I agree with Anaru about the referee cheating because I have been told that he was from England and who do you think that England would rather play the All Blacks or France. This is why the referee gave the French a chance to beat the All Blacks. I heard on the radio that the referee was only doing his best to get the opertunity to be the referee of the final but I disagree because of what he has done England are in the final and they might not have been in it if this referee hadn’t been in charge of this game. But it isn’t interley the referee’s fault because of the touch judges who should’ve pulled up the foward pass and then we would’ve won. But this doesn’t all mater either the All Blacks should’ve learnt to play with that referee’s rules and they should’ve also been far enough in front for this to matter.
